Local Edition is a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Glebe, Sydney — part live music venue, part gallery, and part art shop. They showcase emerging artists, host creative workshops and intimate music nights, and offer a curated selection of handmade artistry both online and in-store.

Our Approach
Shopify Design & Build
We created a clean, expressive design that reflects the creative energy of Local Edition. The site features two main pillars:
- Live Events (music, workshops, exhibitions)
- Shop Artistry (handmade products curated from global and local artists)
Shopify POS Integration
To streamline operations for the physical shop, we implemented Shopify POS — ensuring that in-store purchases sync seamlessly with inventory and customer data.
Custom Templates & Workflows
Each event and product type has a dedicated listing template with custom layouts tailored to that experience.
We used Shopify Flow to automate tasks such as:
- Auto-tagging events by category
- Triggering reminders for upcoming events
- Automated marketing flows for events
Outcome
The result is a dynamic, visually engaging website that not only sells handmade goods but also brings the cultural events of Local Edition to life online.
Visitors can now explore, book, and shop with ease — whether attending a music night or discovering a one-of-a-kind artistry piece.
